Alas Anna

Anna Karenina has fallen by the wayside … both in fiction and in my library list.   Instead I am enjoying Jennifer Egan‘s “A visit from the goon squad”.  The crowd of characters drifting through the novel has prompted me to track them (again a good GPS would be handy here in space and time!) with a mind map.   I am waiting to find out what a goon squad is, although I do remember hearing the term a long time ago.  And unlike Anna K, where only a few characters fall by the wayside, in ‘good squad’ there’s a host of them….from the wild 70’s onwards.
